New man at the nger generation, with a different attitude towards black people, perhaps, or just in general. Progress. You took the lord's name in vain, I'm telling the warden. You'll be telling him with my baton up your ass  lol. Kinda sad, all they were doing was teasing him to get a reaction, but then he starts crying at that crazy headguard and gets beat to death. Me: Goes to prison Gets a parole hearing Man: Do you think you have been rehabilitated? Me: Recites this word for word Man: Did you just recite the Shawshank Redemption hoping you would get paroled? Me. The shenk is one of the greatest films of all time. Damn... When the thought of climbing up Mt. Doom is legit better than the thought of talking to the girl you like.

“That kid is long gone and this old man is all thats left” - powerful line. People know him nowadays as Mr. Krabs but Clancy Brown is hands down one of the best actors out there, really underrated. The first time, i saw this movie, i had a big smile in my face, because of the excellent ending of the movie. It's a high Quality movie in every sense. I do like that story, the writing is great. I think, the movie is even better than the book of Steven King. The directing is great. The cut is perfect, the art direction is great. The Sound and Soundtrack fits perfect into the movie. I don't know even one aspect, why i should not like it. It's the all time number one for me. That means, it is my absolute first place. The perfect movie! It's a great film about humanity under bad conditions. So everyone can see, that even in bad places is humanity. And even if there are bad People who want to break humanity between others with their might and power, they can't really destroy it. And the movie knocks down facades of deceitfulness. I like that! I did a presentation on this movie when I was in highschool! Interesting thing I learned was that director Darabont was surprised by how popular the movie was with women, considering that there are no female characters. He decided it must be because they liked the themes of close loving friendship. I liked it because it's a great story with great characters. Specially with that big white, mushy butt of yours. Simply the best movie ever made. this movie embraces the philosophy that justice will be done, karma is heard and that goodness will rule above anything in this world. Andy and reds friendship is a strong unique bond, founded under the harshest of circumstances. In prison they each serve their time for situations they got themselves into, but certainly didn't form them as men - or messed with their true character. Andy has no choice but to try and accept his fate, that he will be in Shawshank forever - and on the surface he rises to the occasion by doing the paperwork for the sadistic warden, who treats Andy like the lowest of the low. In the meantime Reds parole is continuously declined, and they both have to re-adjust, even though their life in prison sometimes offers them glimpses of hope and of freedom. Will the time really come, and if they ready for it.

As a kid i watched this episode plenty of times and thought it was great. i finally watched the movie and its so much funnier. Definitely one of the best movies ever. The acting was out of this world. My favorite film. Strange how Stephen King is mostly known for horror, but yet my favorite story by him isn't even horror. Lol Peter said 25 years! When Andy was only in Shawshank for 19 years. 20th : sit 30th : sit down 40th : please sit down. I already saw this movie. My day, RIP, introduced me to Shawshank. He LOVED the movie, and I wanted to know why so I watched it too. It's just a great movie, and I'll always love it in honor of my dad. "This is a movie that a man must see." Everyone says that. But the mere distinction between sex makes the film narrow. "The Shawshank Redemption" broke the limitation of man is almost full of incredible, full of warm tone, and the film's theme is "the greatest hope. But when we encountered that prison like Shoschenk imprisoned soul free, we are helpless old Brook, frustrated Reed, or the wisdom of Andy? To use wisdom, to trust in hope, and to face the fear of fear, to defeat it? Classic movies are classic because they are doing the same thing - let you appreciate the beauty of hope from a different angle.
